A Brilliant Story
Respecting the Earth. Inspired by the Stars
Fifty light years from earth in the constellation Centaurus, the compressed heart of an old star spins around a pulsar. Its core is crystallized carbon: a diamond 2500 miles across weighing 10 billion trillion carats. Astronomers call this massive diamond in the sky Lucy, forever in the sky with diamond.
At Brilliant Carbon, we’ve heard your wish upon a diamond star for a better way to sparkle like the stars and protect the earth too. Our lab-created diamonds are forged in fierce star-like plasma, stripping the carbon from methane gas to crystallize atom by atom on a diamond seed. We’re dedicated to bringing the beauty of real diamonds within reach for all of us.
Diamonds are much less common on earth than in the stars because they can only form deep in our planet’s crust. Mining a single carat of diamond requires moving 250 tons of earth. It’s why diamonds are so rare and expensive and why mines leave such large scars on our planet.
Our lab-grown diamonds display the same physical, chemical, and optical characteristics as natural diamonds, and exhibit the same fire, scintillation, and sparkle. The only difference is how they are produced. Our supply chain is as transparent as our gems: every single one of our stones can be traced back to the lab that created it and the artisans that brought it to life.
Our logo is our pledge to illuminate the complicated world of diamonds so you can shine. We only offer lab-grown diamonds we would want to wear ourselves: you don't have to search through hundreds of thousands of mediocre diamonds to find the few high-quality gems that are also a great value. Everything we sell is a brilliant choice.
We hand select top quality pure Type IIa lab-grown diamonds, the rarest pure type, free of the yellow tint of nitrogen and the inclusions that are common in diamonds. Each brilliant lab-grown gem is polished by the hands of seasoned craftsmen to ideal proportions to dance with light and brilliance. And because you don't have to pay the cost of mining, you can afford a lab-grown diamond that’s 35 percent larger* without sacrificing quality.
You won't be able to tell that your diamond is lab grown just by looking at it, even with a loupe, but you’ll know you made the smart choice, protecting the planet and keeping your eyes on the stars.
We also design our jewelry to celebrate to the timeless beauty of the stars, with pure lines and refined details. Each piece is made to last, with uncompromising workmanship and classic beauty. We’re crafting jewelry that will last generations, while doing our bit to preserve the earth for the next generation too.
